Sissel Sundby has extensive leadership experience and over 20 years of experience as an advisor within executive recruitment and leadership and organisational development. She has particularly deep experience from the media industry, a commercially demanding market with a high pace of change and strong competition, and for over 12 years she held leadership roles at Schibsted and TV 2/Egmont. As VP Learning & Development at Schibsted, she had overall responsibility for the group’s leadership-development programme, leadership reviews, mobility and the recruitment of senior executives. In major transformations she has worked closely with group and senior executives in 32 countries. Among other things, she was central to the development of Schibsted’s leadership principles.
At TV 2 she led organisational development and culture, and together with the senior management she developed a comprehensive strategy for organisational development focusing on competence development, leadership development, culture, as well as governance and prioritisation – a strategy that is still in use today.
Sissel has been a partner at De4 Search & Consulting, where she delivered executive recruitment and leadership development at the top level. In 2006 she was named by Finansavisen as one of Norway’s most accurate executive recruiters.
Sissel is an experienced and present facilitator, coach and discussion partner. Feedback from former clients says she creates a sense of security, insight and clear direction in leadership teams and organisations. She is skilled at bringing theories and methods down to the practical realities of everyday leadership and using recognisable examples.
Sissel holds a Master of Management in change management from BI and a Cand.mag. degree from the University of Oslo. She is a certified coach (CTI), team coach (ORSC) and certified in several psychometric tools.
